Monastic Practice & The Journey Towards Integration

Time:

3:00pm Central Europe / Central Africa (4:00pm East Africa Time / Jerusalem, 2:00pm UK, 9:00am USA Eastern, 6:30pm India Time)

Meeting Theme:

As peacebuilders, we often find ourselves stretched thin—scattered across urgent crises, systems in need of transformation, and the wounds we carry with us. The nature of our work can fragment us, even as we long to be agents of wholeness in the world. In these seasons, we need reminders that deep, lasting peace begins not only with external action but with the inner journey toward integration—of self, of spirit, and of community.

In our July gathering, we’re honored to welcome Brother Thierry Marteaux, a Benedictine monk who has lived in Northern Ireland since 1998, helping to establish a monastic community in Rostrevor rooted in prayer, reconciliation, and spiritual ecumenism. Brother Thierry will share reflections on the monastic path and how practices of contemplation and communal life might speak to our own callings as peacebuilders seeking to live undivided lives.
